The “Gateway City,” St. Louis, has a distinctive skyline and memorable culture. With a population of over 300,000, St. Louis is big enough to be fun, but small enough to make commuting easy. The city is home to some major corporations, such as Anheuser-Busch, Boeing Defense, Energizer, and Panera. But, it may be best known for its famous arch. The 630-foot arch is the tallest in the world and is the tallest man-made structure in the entire Western Hemisphere. So, what is there to actually DO in St. Louis?
The Arch
The Gateway Arch commemorates the beginning of Lewis and Clark’s expedition to map the Western United States. You can ride an elevator to the top of the arch and enjoy the breathtaking views to begin your adventure.
